Gold Line Metro (Doha – Qatar)

The Doha Metro is a rapid transit system in Doha, Qatar’s capital city.  It is build with four lines with an overall length of 300 km and 100 stations.

Gold Line, which is also called the Historic Line,  is a light rail line that is a part of the Qatar Integrated Rail Project. The east-west Gold Line runs through old Doha, extending from Ras Abu Aboud Station to Al Aziziya Station covering a distance of 32 km

A consortium led by Greek construction major Ellaktor has been awarded for the design and construction of the Doha Metro Gold Line. ALYSJ Joint Venture, which is led by AKTOR and includes L&T, Yapi Merkezi, STFA and Al Jaber Engineering’s participation.

In full cooperation with ALYSJ Joint Venture framework was installed. The development of the system took place locally in order to cover the Time Keep control of labour on sites.

With ALYSJ Cost Control department guidance and supervision, CostTools was deployed and operational. The system was installed on main ALYSJ offices and more than 40 users from 10 different worksites have remote access using the easy web interface of CostTools.

The difficult operation of allocating on a daily basis thousands of transactions of working hours on construction sites is accomplished from CostTools advanced data analyzing capabilities.

The extended reporting capabilities of CostTools managed to fulfill all the reporting needs of the project. From simple data presence to complicated data analysis reporting, served sucessfully the Gold Line Metro Project.
